Lakehurst Fire Department

This summer the Lakehurst Volunteer Fire Company has responded to 12 motor vehicle accidents along Rt. 70, assisting with traffic control, making the scene safe for EMS responders, and being prepared for patient removal and extrications operations. It’s not just fires that we respond to as we assist residents, travelers, and other Borough agencies, maintaining positive relationships with all. Lakehurst Fire Department

Lakehurst Volunteer Firefighters practicing hose lays and fire flows using both their 2007 engine and their 1994 Rescue Engine. In the event of a structural fire in town we want to use all the water available to us in our hydrant system so we utilize two major methods of getting water onto the fire quickly while overcoming our enemy of friction loss in the hose.
